Grab a coffee. The baristas at this Italian café have won Swedish championships, so the espresso is reliably excellent. It is a quiet start before the evening rush.

Bellevue Park and Carl Eldh Studio Museum
Walk up to Bellevue Park. You have time to browse the early 20th-century sculptures in the Carl Eldh Studio Museum if you like, but the main event is the park itself. Find a spot facing Brunnsviken. At 15:23, the sun will set toward the southwest, casting a final warm glow over the brackish bay.

Head down to the old town for dinner. This is where the Swedish Academy members eat every Thursday. The atmosphere is steeped in tradition dating back to 1722, and the food is classic Swedish. It is the perfect place to warm up after the evening chill.

End the night with a drink nearby. This jazz club has been around since 1965 and features live music almost every night. It is a short walk from your dinner spot, keeping the evening contained and easy.
Local tip
The museum at Bellevue is only open on weekends in October. If you are visiting on a weekday, skip the museum interior and just enjoy the park view. The dinner spot is popular, so be prepared for a wait or book ahead.
