Golden hour at Skansen and a late dinner

Arrive at Skansen just before the sun dips low in the west, then stay for dinner as the evening sets in.

Best time: 15 JanAbout 180 min

Timeline

  1. 13:20

    Skansen

Walk from Berwaldhallen to Skansen to catch the last light on the grounds.

  2. 15:08

    Solliden

Have an early dinner at Solliden. The view of the inner harbour is best in the fading light, and the smörgåsbord is served June through August.

  3. 16:23

    Oaxen

Walk to Oaxen for a proper late dinner. It holds one Michelin star and stays open late.

Local tip

Solliden is closed outside of June, July, and August. If you are visiting in January, skip the smörgåsbord and head straight to Oaxen after your walk.

Check before you go

  • Oaxen is a popular spot. Check if you need to book ahead.
  • Solliden only serves its classical Swedish smörgåsbord in June, July, and August.
