Start at Fairlands Valley Park. The 120-acre site is perfect for an afternoon wander. You can follow the paths around the 11-acre sailing lake or simply find a quiet bench to watch the water. It is a spacious, open area that feels removed from the town centre bustle.
15:00
Walk south-east to Peartree Park. It is only a 13-minute stroll from the park entrance. This smaller green space offers a different, more intimate atmosphere compared to the lakeside views. It is a good spot to stretch your legs and enjoy the local residential surroundings.
15:20
Head towards Six Hills to grab a drink. Boom Battle Bar is an 8-minute walk from Peartree Park. It is a lively venue with bowling and drinks. Check the opening hours to ensure it is open; it closes at 22:00 on Sundays and 23:00 on weekdays, so you have plenty of time for an evening wind-down.
Local tip
The park is large, so wear comfortable shoes. If you want to extend the walk, you can loop back towards the centre via the Six Hills Common path, but keep in mind the walk back to the bar is longer if you go that way.
