Pick up a snack or drink at the Saint George Greenmarket. It is a short walk from the ferry terminal and perfect for grabbing something local before the sun goes down. The market is open on Saturdays from 8AM to 2PM in the colder months, so if you are visiting on a Saturday in winter, you might catch the early end of their hours. If it is not Saturday, skip this step and head straight to the viewing spot.

Walk to Postcards. This public art piece offers a clear view of the water. Position yourself here to catch the final moments of daylight. The walk from the nearby food shops takes about six to fifteen minutes depending on which one you chose, so time your departure accordingly.
16:53
Watch the sunset. The sun sets toward the WSW, offering a striking view from this vantage point. Let the golden light fade as the day ends.
17:23
End your evening at the Chinese Scholar’s Garden. This museum and garden is located in the Snug Harbor Cultural Center. It is a peaceful place to decompress after the sunset. Note that this is a longer walk (about 62 minutes) from your starting area, so ensure you have enough time or consider a taxi if you are tired.
Local tip
The walk between Postcards and the Chinese Scholar’s Garden is quite long (over an hour). If you prefer a shorter evening, consider ending at Fort Hill Park or North Shore Esplanade instead, which are closer to the initial viewing spot.
