Spokane Evening: Golden Light and After Dark

Start at the park edge as the sun dips low, then head back downtown for dinner and a drink.

Best time: sunsetAbout 120 min

Timeline

  1. 15:45

    Huntingdon Park

Find the edge of Huntingdon Park to watch the sun set toward the WSW. The falls are visible from here, and the short walk from the anchor makes it easy to arrive early.

  2. 16:40

    Gilded Unicorn

Walk back toward the anchor to Gilded Unicorn. This basement spot with brick walls and medieval decor is open by then and offers a discount for Monttvale Hotel guests.

  3. 17:10

    Cochinito Taqueria

Head next door to Cochinito Taqueria for dinner. It is just a short walk away and serves Mexican food until late.

  4. 17:55

    O'Doherty's Irish Grille

End the night at O'Doherty's Irish Grille. Grab a pint of Guinness or Harp and listen to live Irish music if it is a Tuesday.

Local tip

Huntingdon Park is only a 7-minute walk from The Knitting Factory, making it a quick stop before the main evening starts. Gilded Unicorn opens at 16:00 on weekdays, so you can arrive for a pre-dinner drink right after sunset.
