    Outdoor climbing wall

Head to the outdoor climbing wall in the Yard of the Hunyadi János School. It is an artificial 13-meter high wall with over 160 square meters of climbing area. A day pass costs €3. Note that it is open Monday to Friday from 16:00 to 20:00, so if you arrive before 16:00, you can still enjoy the grounds or check the opening status for your specific day.

    Dömötöri Confectionery

Walk to Dömötöri Confectionery for a sweet break. They offer daily deals and a wide selection of baked goods, cakes, and pies. In the winter months (October to April) they are open until 21:00 on weekdays and 22:00 on weekends. In summer, they stay open until 22:00 on weekdays and 23:00 on weekends.

    Elizabeth Gardens

Stroll through the Elizabeth Gardens. This French-style public park was purchased by the city in 1763 and expanded in 1900. It is one of the oldest gardens in Hungary that has been freely accessible to everyone. It is a peaceful spot to rest your feet after the climb and the cake.

Local tip

The climbing wall is located in the heart of the city. If you plan to climb, ensure you arrive after 16:00 on weekdays. The confectionery is a great place to grab a slice of cake or a coffee while watching the city go by.
