Visit the Xinle Ancient Ruins Museum. The ticket office is on the north side of the road. You will be directed across to the museum on the south side to view the display before returning to the north side again to enter the reconstruction area.

Walk east to Beiling Park. This is a large park, so take your time finding a quiet spot with a clear view toward the west.

Watch the sun set toward the WSW. The golden light starts about 15:56, leading into the sunset at 16:39.

Head southeast to North Tomb (Zhaoling) Park to continue your evening stroll.
Local tip
The museum closes at 17:00 in winter, so leave enough time to enter before 16:30. There are no food or drink shops listed in the immediate context, so plan to bring water or eat before you arrive.
