Grab a quick, affordable bite at Ibukian. It is a small cafeteria-style cafe open for lunch and early evening, perfect for fueling up before the walk.
16:19
Walk to Sekigahara Limestone Cave. The flat, stair-free path is easy to navigate in the fading light. The cave stays a constant 15 °C, so bring a light layer if you plan to go inside to see the stalactites and the river trout.
16:49
Head to the statue of Ishida Mitsunari. This public art piece is part of the battlefield markers. Arriving here thirty minutes before sunset lets you find a quiet spot to watch the sun dip below the horizon toward the west.
17:49
Dine on eel at Uoshige. This restaurant specializes in eel dishes and stays open until 20:00, making it an ideal spot for dinner after the sunset has passed.
