Find the Courthouse Butte Trail. It is a 19-minute walk from the anchor point. Arrive here to set up your view before the sun crests the horizon.

Watch the sunrise. The sun rises toward the WSW, illuminating the red rock faces of Courthouse Butte and Bell Rock. The golden light begins to spread across the landscape.

Head back to find breakfast or coffee. Check the route for nearby shops that are open early in the morning. The sun is now fully up and the air is cooling.
Local tip
The trail is short but steep. Wear sturdy shoes. The area is remote so bring water and layers for the early morning chill.
