Timeline

  1. 15:30

    Queen Anne Coffee Co.

Pick up a coffee and a pastry at Queen Anne Coffee Co. The shop opens at 07:00, so you will have plenty of time to grab a seat and plan your route before the crowds arrive. The walk from here is short, just 14 minutes.

  2. 15:45

    Bhy Kracke Park

Walk up to Bhy Kracke Park. It is pronounced "By Crackie". You will find a view comparable to the Space Needle for free. Arriving an hour early gives you time to find the best spot on the grass or railing without fighting for space.

  3. 16:45

    Bhy Kracke Park

Watch the sun set toward the WSW. The golden light starts at 15:54, so the sky will be painting the city in warm tones for about an hour before the final drop. This is the moment you came for.

  4. 17:30

    Art Marble 21

Head to Art Marble 21 for dinner. It is an American restaurant with a large game room featuring free arcade games, billiards, and giant Jenga. It is open until 22:00 on weekdays and 02:00 on weekends, so it is a lively place to end the night. The walk is 13 minutes.

Local tip

Kerry Park is the other famous viewpoint nearby, but it is often packed with tourists. Bhy Kracke Park offers a similar skyline view with more room to breathe. Check the route for walking directions if you need them.
