Grab a slice of pizza and a drink from Luciano's Pizza & Pasta. It is open late and sits just a short walk from the beach. You can take it to go or find a seat inside to warm up before heading out.
15:25
Walk to Alki Beach Park. The path along the water is busy but fun. Find a spot on the sand or the railing to look west. The view of the city across the water is clear and unobstructed. This is the perfect time to let the late afternoon light hit the water.
15:55
Stay at Alki Beach Park for the golden light. As the sun begins to dip, the light turns warm and soft. The beach is always busy, so enjoy the energy of the skaters and walkers around you. This is the peak moment for the view.
16:25
Walk up the short path to Hamilton Viewpoint Park. It is adjacent to the Seacrest Ferry Dock and offers a higher vantage point. The view of downtown Seattle from here is framed by the water and the sky. It is a quieter spot to end the walk.
Local tip
The walk from the restaurant to the beach is short and flat. If you want to extend your stay, Alki Beach Park has miles of path for walking or skating. Hamilton Viewpoint Park is just a ten minute walk from the beach, making it an easy final stop.
