Timeline
16:31
Pick up a sweet treat at Casa Mathilde. This sweet shop is just a one-minute walk from the building and opens at 09:30 on Saturdays, so it will be open for your afternoon visit.
16:56
Head to the Altino Arantes Building (Banespão). The Art Deco skyscraper is open weekdays from 10:00 to 15:00, but for this sunset plan, you will be viewing it from the outside as the light changes. Walk west to Vale do Anhangabaú for the best view.
17:31
Stand in Vale do Anhangabaú. This park is a four-minute walk west of the building. As the golden light hits the building's facade around 17:41, the WSW sunset direction frames the structure beautifully.
18:01
Walk northeast to Largo do Paiçandu to end your walk. This area is an eight-minute walk from the building and offers a quieter, historic square to reflect on the view.
Local tip
The Altino Arantes Building is closed to the public after 15:00 on weekdays, so this experience is strictly about the exterior architecture and the changing light. Vale do Anhangabaú is a public space, so you can stay as long as you like.
