Sunset at the Mural

Grab a bite near the theatre, walk to the mosaic for the last light, then wind down with a drink.

Best time: 17:13About 120 min

Timeline

  1. 16:03

    Jambo Cafe

Grab a quick bite at Jambo Cafe. The Afro-Caribbean fusion is popular, so arriving early helps secure a seat before the evening rush.

  2. 16:28

    Generations Mosaic Mural

Walk 21 minutes ESE to the Generations Mosaic Mural. This 130-foot long mosaic is best appreciated in the fading light. Arrive early to find a good spot along the wall.

  3. 17:13

    Generations Mosaic Mural

Watch the sunset over the mural. The sun sets toward the WSW, casting a final glow on the artwork and the surrounding area.

  4. 17:43

    La Reina

Head back toward the theatre area (22 minutes WNW walk from the mural, then short walk to the bar) or check the route to La Reina. This bright, airy mezcal and tequila bar is a perfect place to decompress after the walk. Note that it is walk-in only and first-come, first-served.

Local tip

La Reina is walk-in only. If it is full, Rowley Farmhouse Ales is an alternative nearby, but check the route as it is not on the direct path from the mural.
