Walk 30 minutes northeast to the Santa Fe Plaza. This National Historic Landmark is the perfect vantage point. Find a spot near the center or the portals where you can see the sky change color.

Watch the sunset. The sun sets toward the WNW at 19:37, casting long shadows across the historic plaza. The golden light starting at 19:02 will have already warmed the adobe walls.

End the night with dinner at Santacafe. It is one of Santa Fe's big-name restaurants, just a short walk from the Plaza. The American/Continental fare is creative and well presented.
Local tip
Secreto Lounge is open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, so the evening flows naturally from drinks to dinner. Reservations are recommended for Santacafe.
