Watch the sun set toward the west. The golden light will have just begun around 17:22, giving the dunes a warm glow before the final descent at 18:00.

End your evening by heading back 22 minutes west to Scusset Beach State Reservation (Sagamore Hill Historic Site) to see the historic coastal defense structures in the twilight.
Local tip
The beach has no facilities, so bring your own water and snacks. The walk back to the historic site is short and flat.
