Grab a quick bocadillo de tortilla at Juantxo Taberna. It is the cheapest and best in the Parte Vieja, perfect for fueling up before the walk.
20:35
Walk to Kontxa hondartza. The crescent beach offers an unobstructed view of the western horizon. Find a spot on the sand or the promenade to watch the sun dip below the water line toward the WNW.
21:20
Head to Casa Gandarias for dinner. The evening light has faded, and this is the place to try the Solo Mio sirloin steak with a glass of Belondrade Y Lurton white wine.
22:05
Finish the night with a late bite at La Cuchara de San Telmo. The interior may be modest, but the Jamon Iberico is cited as particularly good, and the restaurant is open late.
Local tip
Casa Gandarias is a 15-minute walk from the beach. If you prefer a lighter start, Juantxo Taberna is just 13 minutes away on foot.
