Walk to Alta Plaza Park. Arrive as it opens to enjoy the immaculately manicured lawns and the first light over the Bay. It is a pretty good place for a rest if you have just scaled the hill.

Continue to Lafayette Park, another little oasis in the heart of Pacific Heights. Like Alta Plaza, it is pristinely kept by local residents and offers excellent views over the Bay.
Local tip
Both parks are open from 05:00 to 24:00, so you have plenty of flexibility. The coffee shop opens at 06:30, ensuring you can grab a drink early.
