Timeline

  1. 10:00

    Randall Museum

Arrive at Randall Museum right when it opens. The Saturday model railroad is a highlight, but even on weekdays the interactive exhibits and live animals make it a perfect, quiet start to the morning.

  2. 11:30

    Taqueria Cancun

Walk down the hill to Taqueria Cancun for a late lunch. Their vegetarian burritos are widely considered the best in the city, and the Alambres are a rich, satisfying alternative if you prefer meat. It is a casual spot with no reservations needed.

  3. 12:15

    Mission Dolores Park

Take the short walk to Mission Dolores Park. It is one of the city's most popular hangouts, so you will see locals playing games, socializing, and enjoying the sunny slopes. It is the perfect place to digest your meal and watch the city life unfold.

Local tip

The museum is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Taqueria Cancun is open daily, but Mission Dolores Park is busiest in the afternoon; arriving mid-morning gives you the best balance of activity and space.
