Timeline
17:02
Grab a coffee and a pastry at Caffe Trieste. The atmosphere is thick with history, and the coffee is consistently excellent. It’s a quiet spot to settle in before the evening rush.
17:52
Walk to the Wave Organ. Arrive with plenty of time to find a good spot on the spit of land. The structure is designed to be experienced at high tide, but the views and the quiet ambiance are best as the light begins to fade. Sit and listen to the water moving through the pipes.
18:32
Watch the sun set toward the WSW. The light will reflect off the water and the pipes, creating a serene and slightly surreal atmosphere. This is the core moment of the experience.
19:32
End the night at Vesuvio's. This historic bar is just a short walk away and offers a cozy, jazz-infused environment to unwind after the cold wind off the bay.
Local tip
The Wave Organ is best experienced at high tide, but the sunset timing is perfect for the visual experience. Check tide tables if you want the sound to be at its peak, but the sunset view is stunning regardless.
