Walk the trails at Tecolote Canyon Natural Park while the air is cool and the paths are empty. The visitor center at the mouth of the canyon is a good starting point to see exhibits on the local flora and fauna.

Head to Bert's Bistro for a burger or breakfast bite. It is the closest option and opens at 08:00, fitting perfectly after your morning walk.

Take a short walk to Crown Point Shores to see the water and the rugged coastline. The contrast between the canyon interior and the ocean view is the highlight of this route.
Local tip
Bert's Bistro closes early on Fridays at 14:00. If you are visiting on a Friday afternoon, choose La Paloma or Aromas instead, as they stay open later.
