Timeline
15:35
Start with breakfast at Brockton Villa. It is just a two-minute walk from The Cave Store and open early enough to secure a table before the crowds arrive. Their breakfast menu is well known and reasonably priced.
16:35
Walk to The Cave Store. This gift shop is built on top of a sea cave and offers tours of a small cavern open to the ocean. Arrive here to explore the unique geology and buy a souvenir before heading to the beach.
17:05
Walk 13 minutes west-southwest to Children's Pool Beach. This is the perfect spot to watch the sun set toward the WSW. The beach is a favorite breeding spot for harbor seals, so keep an eye out for them resting on the rocks. Note that the beach is closed from December 15 to May 15 during breeding season, but you can still observe the seals from a safe distance.
17:50
End the evening with fine dining at The Marine Room. This establishment is right by the water and serves as an event venue. It is open for dinner from 16:30 to 21:00 on weekdays and weekends, making it the ideal place to unwind after the sunset.
Local tip
The Marine Room is a popular spot for private events, so it can get busy. If you want a quieter dinner experience, consider arriving closer to opening time.
