    Walk 29 minutes from the church area to Ruuhijärvi beach. The camp fire hut is a good shelter from the wind as you wait for the light to change.

    Watch the sun set toward the SSW. The low winter sun stays close to the horizon, creating a brief but striking golden moment over the ice and water.

    S-Market Erätuli

    Head back toward the town center to warm up. S-Market Erätuli is still open and close enough to grab a hot meal or more coffee.

The walk to the beach is long and exposed in winter. Dress warmly and check the route for icy patches.
