Timeline
16:40
Grab a coffee or a light snack to keep your energy up. This café is open late, so you can pop in anytime before you head out.
17:20
Walk to the Narodovolets Submarine D-2. The exterior is stark and imposing against the evening sky. It is a quiet spot to pause before the main event.
17:50
Stand near the water’s edge facing southwest. The sun dips below the horizon, painting the Neva in shades of orange and purple. The submarine stands as a silent witness to the day’s end.
18:20
Head to WöD for dinner. The atmosphere is charming with a fireplace in winter. It is a solid choice for a hearty meal after the cold air.
19:20
End the night with a drink back at Столовая. It is open until 21:00, so check if you are still within hours or move to a nearby late-night spot if needed.
Local tip
The walk from the submarine to the dining area is short. If you prefer Georgian food, Staryy Tbilisi is just a nine-minute walk from the sphinxes, but WöD offers a more established dinner setting.
Check before you go
- The submarine is open Wed-Sun 11:00-7:15. It is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
- Столовая is open daily 09:00-21:00. If your evening runs late, you may need to find a different place for the final drink.
