Timeline
16:00
Start with a coffee at Cafe Sasso. It is an easy walk from the base of the hill and opens early, giving you time to settle in before the climb.
16:30
Walk up to Cobb's Hill Reservoir Park. The 37-minute trek from the anchor is a steady climb, but the park offers large open spaces and a duck pond that look beautiful in the fading light.
17:00
Find a spot on the ridge facing west. The sun sets toward the WSW, casting a golden glow over the downtown skyline. This is the peak moment for the view.
17:30
Descend and head to Trata. This trendy spot in an old military armory is open until 9 PM on weekdays, making it the perfect place to grab a bite or a drink after the sun goes down.
Local tip
The walk up Cobb's Hill is steep. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a light layer as it gets windy at the top.
