Timeline

  1. 10:00

    Miit Coffee

Pick up a coffee and a pancake at Miit Coffee. The brunch menu is available on weekends, but their regular coffee and vegetarian options are great any day. This café is just a 3-minute walk from the church.

  2. 10:30

    St. Gertrude Old Church

Walk to St. Gertrude Old Church. The 19th-century brick neogothic structure replaced earlier wooden churches that stood outside the city walls since the 15th century. It is free to enter and open from 10:00 on weekdays.

  3. 11:00

    Esplanade Park

Stroll 10 minutes southwest to Esplanade Park. Designed by Georg Kuphaldt, this green space offers a peaceful spot to rest. Note that Kuphaldt was once expelled by Germany as a spy because he had a telescope in his garden.
