Walk to Ķīpsalas pludmale beach. The view looks west and southwest, perfectly framing the sunset. Arrive with an hour to spare to find a good spot on the sand.

Head to Cuba Cafe. It is a cozy bar with DJs in the evenings and is open until 03:00. It is a great place to unwind after the sunset.

Dinner at Vecmeita ar kaķi. This is an upmarket option serving very good Latvian food. It is a solid choice for a proper meal after your evening stroll.
Local tip
The beach faces the sunset direction, so you will have the sun directly in front of you. Check the exact sunset time for your specific date, as it shifts significantly between winter and summer.
Check before you go
- Expo cafe closes at 16:00. If you are visiting in summer when sunset is after 22:00, you will need to skip this step or go much earlier.
- Cuba Cafe is open late, but Vecmeita ar kaķi has no listed hours, so call ahead to confirm they are open for dinner.
