Timeline

  1. 18:55

    Ciemakukulis

Start with a coffee and a pastry at Ciemakukulis. It is just a six-minute walk from the Botanical Garden entrance and open until 18:00 on Saturdays, giving you plenty of time before the light shifts.

  2. 19:15

    Esplanade Park

Walk 55 minutes east from the Botanical Garden to Esplanade Park. The park was designed by Georg Kuphaldt, who famously had a telescope in his garden. Find a spot with a clear view of the western sky.

  3. 19:40

    Esplanade Park

Watch the golden light begin at 19:40. The sun sets toward the WNW, bathing the park in warm color as the day winds down.

  4. 20:10

    Skyline Bar

End the evening at Skyline Bar, only a four-minute walk from the park. It is perfect for sunset views, though finding a window table gets difficult after 23:00. A cover charge may apply at popular times.
