Timeline
19:01
Grab a coffee and a pastry at Miit Coffee. It is open early and offers vegetarian options, including pancakes on weekends. This is a good spot to rest and plan the walk before the evening rush.
19:46
Walk to Esplanade Park. The 7-minute stroll from the café is easy. Arrive here to find a bench or a quiet corner facing west. The park was designed by Georg Kuphaldt, and the open space offers an unobstructed view of the sun setting toward the WNW.
20:31
Watch the sunset. The golden light peaks around 19:40, but the actual sunset at 20:31 provides the dramatic color show. The sun dips toward the west-northwest, casting long shadows across the park.
21:01
Head to Vermanitis for dinner. It is a regional restaurant located right near the park. The menu features a fantastic range of Latvian food in an authentic environment. Try the fried fish or salmon steak. The atmosphere is lively but comfortable as the evening sets in.
22:01
End the night at Skyline Bar. It is just a 4-minute walk from the restaurant. The bar is known for its perfect view at sunset, but it remains a great spot after dark. Finding a window table might be difficult after 23:00, so arrive early. There is a cover charge at popular times.
