Latvian National Museum of Art
Head straight to the Latvian National Museum of Art as it opens. Being one of the first visitors allows you to absorb the nation’s most significant art collection in peace before the crowds arrive. Spend an hour or so moving through the galleries at your own pace.

Walk eight minutes to Miit Coffee for a break. Their coffee is excellent and they offer vegetarian food with gluten-free options. It is a perfect spot to rest and recharge after the museum.

Continue your walk to Mārtiņa Beķereja, a traditional Latvian café beloved by locals. The pastries are always fresh. Note that this location operates on cash only, so be sure to have notes ready before you order.

The museum is closed on Mondays. If you are visiting on a Monday, shift your start time to Tuesday morning or choose a different day. Miit Coffee is open from 07:00 on weekdays, so you have plenty of time to grab a coffee before or after your museum visit.
