Walk up to Arnarhóll. It is a short nine-minute climb from the harbour area. This hill offers a clear view of the bay and the city, positioning you perfectly for the final act of the day.

Watch the sunset. On 15 January, the sun sets at 16:19 toward the SW. From Arnarhóll, you can see the sun dipping below the horizon over Faxaflói bay.
Local tip
The walk from the harbour to Arnarhóll is gentle but steep in parts. Wear sturdy shoes. The hill is small, so you will not be waiting long for a good spot.
