Walk into Whales of Iceland as it opens at 10:00. The early hour means fewer crowds and a calm start to your day.
10:45
Head to Sægreifinn for lunch. Their lobster soup is a local favourite and the seafood is fresh. Note that summer hours extend to 23:00 while winter hours end at 22:00.
11:15
Walk 18 minutes up to Arnarhóll. This small hill offers a peaceful green space with clear views of the city and the harbour you just left.
Local tip
The walk from the harbour to the hill is short but slightly uphill. Wear shoes suitable for a gentle climb.
