Golden Hour at Pina

A relaxed evening by the water, timed perfectly with the sun going down.

Best time: 16:45About 90 min

Timeline

  1. 16:01

    Barraca do Pingo

Grab a cold drink and a light bite. Barraca do Pingo is open until 17:00 on weekdays and 17:00 on weekends, giving you just enough time to settle in before the light changes. The walk from Pina Beach is short.

  2. 16:46

    Pina Beach

Walk to the sand at Pina Beach. The waves here are weak and the vibe is calm. Find a spot facing west to watch the sky turn orange and pink. The golden light starts around 16:45, so you will have plenty of time to get comfortable.

  3. 18:01

    Vai Di Doce

End the evening with a sweet treat at Vai Di Doce. It is a quick four-minute walk from the beach. The café closes at 19:00, so you have time for a coffee or dessert while the night air settles in.

Local tip

The sun sets toward the WNW in July. Make sure your seat faces that direction for the best view.
