Timeline

  1. 16:45

    Café Cartum

Grab a coffee or a quiet drink at Café Cartum. It is open until 20:00, so you have plenty of time to settle in before heading out. The walk from the Benfica Cultural Center is short, just ten minutes.

  2. 17:00

    Brasilia Teimosa Beach

Walk down to Brasilia Teimosa Beach. It is a smaller, less frequented spot near the port, about a 61-minute walk from the center. Arrive early to find a good spot on the sand or a low wall facing west.

  3. 17:45

    Brasilia Teimosa Beach

Watch the sun dip toward the WSW. The golden light begins around 17:15, casting a warm glow over the water and the historic shoreline. This is the perfect moment to just breathe in the coastal air.

  4. 18:15

    Biruta

Head to Biruta, a lovely pub on the north end of the beach. It is only a nine-minute walk away. The sea breeze is strong this time of evening, so grab a table outside if you can. It is a great place to linger as the light fades.

Local tip

Biruta gets busy in the evening. If you want a view of the sunset transition, get there early. The beach itself is quiet, making it easy to find space without fighting for room.
