    Grab a quick bite at Chica Pitanga. This per-kilo restaurant serves regional foods and opens at 11:30, making it the perfect early start. It is just a short walk from the anchor.

    Boa Viagem Beach

    Head to Boa Viagem Beach. This is one of the world's best urban beaches with pristine white sands and an 8 km stretch of hotels and restaurants. The beach is about a 10-minute walk from the church area, heading northeast.

    Parque dos Manguezais

    Walk to Parque dos Manguezais to see the local ecosystem. This park is located further north along the coast. The walk from the beach area takes about 60 minutes, so allow plenty of time to stroll through the mangroves.

Local tip

Check the route to Parque dos Manguezais as it is quite far from the initial beach area. The beach is best enjoyed in the morning or late afternoon to avoid the strongest heat.
