Walk up to Pitics-hegyi-kilátó. The view is about a 53-minute walk from the Heritage House, but this spot is the best place to watch the light change. The sun sets toward the WSW, offering a clear view of the horizon.

Watch the sunset. The golden light starts around 17:06, giving you about 40 minutes of warm light before the sun dips below the horizon at 17:48.

End the evening with a traditional meal at Fogadó az Öreg Malomhoz. It is very close to the viewing area and stays open until 19:00, perfect for a late dinner after the sunset.
Local tip
The walk to the viewpoint is long (53 minutes) from the center. Start your ice cream early so you can reach the top while there is still daylight.
Check before you go
- Fincsi Ice Cream Shop is only open May–Sep. If you are visiting in October, choose Jósva Pub or Kecső ABC instead.
- Heritage House is closed in winter, but the viewpoint is accessible year-round.
