Timeline
16:33
Pick up an ice cream from Fincsi Ice Cream Shop. It is open until 18:30 in October, so you have plenty of time before the sun goes down. Grab a cone and head toward the gallery.
17:03
Arrive at the Baradla Gallery. Since it is only by appointment, call ahead to secure a slot for late afternoon. Use the time inside to view the art inspired by the Aggtelek Karst before heading out for the light.
17:48
Walk 50 minutes from the gallery toward Pitics-hegyi-kilátó. The sunset is at 17:48, so you want to be settled here by then. The viewpoint looks toward the WSW, matching the sun’s path. Watch the sky shift from golden light to the final moments of the day.
18:33
End the evening with a drink at Jósva Pub. It is open until 20:30, giving you time to relax after the walk. Use this time to reflect on the view before heading home.
Local tip
The walk from the gallery to the viewpoint takes 50 minutes. Start early enough to enjoy the ice cream and the gallery without rushing. The pub is a good place to rest your feet after the descent.
