Timeline
21:18
Start at the Museo del Recuerdo. Its hours (14:30-18:00) allow a quick visit before the evening rush. Use this time to see the historic steam engines and 1870s house interiors while the light is still good.
21:48
Walk 14 minutes to Dino's Pizza. Order a 'Barros Luco' (beef and cheese sandwich) and a rhubarb juice to go. The restaurant is open until 23:00, so you can grab a bite here before heading up the hill.
22:03
Walk 6 minutes from the anchor (or from your previous stop if you timed it right) to Cerro de la Cruz. This viewpoint looks SW, perfectly aligned with the sun setting over the strait. Find a spot on the hill to watch the golden light fade.
22:33
Head to La Marmita, a 14-minute walk from Cerro de la Cruz. The trendy decor and great atmosphere make it a perfect place to relax after the cold evening air. It is open until 23:00, so you have plenty of time for dinner.
Local tip
The walk up Cerro de la Cruz can be steep. Bring a jacket as it gets windy and cold after sunset.
