Timeline
07:30
Stop at El Cafecito Carmen's for a coffee and a light breakfast. It opens at 06:00, so you will have it to yourself and plenty of time to digest before the climb.
08:00
Walk to Playa Carrizalillo. The description notes it is the most scenic and safest beach for swimming. Take a taxi if you want to avoid the half-hour walk, but if you are up for it, the descent via the 167 steps is part of the experience. Arrive just as the beach opens for the day to secure a quiet spot on the sand.
09:30
Head to Secret Spot café near the beach for lunch or a refreshing drink. It is open from 08:00 to 20:00 on most days (closed Tuesdays). This is a convenient spot to rest after swimming and enjoy the beachside atmosphere without wandering far.
10:30
End your morning at Baguettería, also near Playa Carrizalillo. Open from 09:00 to 20:00 on most days (closed Tuesdays), it is the perfect place to grab a sandwich to take with you or sit down for a late morning bite before heading back.
Local tip
Playa Carrizalillo is small and not too crowded, but arriving early ensures you get the best spot before the midday rush. If you prefer not to climb the 167 steps, take a taxi directly to the beach level.
