Timeline

  1. 16:40

    Downtown Provo

Stroll through Downtown Provo. The 1880-1910 architecture looks striking in the fading light, and the area is being revitalized with unique shops worth a quick browse.

  2. 17:10

    Bombay House

Head to Bombay House for dinner. This authentic Indian restaurant is well known for its naan and lassis. It is open until 22:00, so you have plenty of time to eat before the sun sets.

  3. 17:40

    Splash Summit Waterpark

Walk to Splash Summit Waterpark. Even in winter, the waterpark’s large structures and waterslides create an interesting silhouette against the darkening sky. It is the largest waterpark in Utah and offers a stark, modern contrast to the historic downtown you just left.

  4. 18:10

    Brick Oven

End the evening at Brick Oven. This staple has been serving BYU students and residents for decades. Order a pizza and try their homemade rootbeer to cap off the night.

Local tip

The sunset is toward the WSW. If you want to see the colors best, head to the open areas in Downtown Provo or the edges of the waterpark grounds just before the sun dips below the horizon.
