Head southeast to Gillette Shows Inc for a snack or lunch. The 13-minute walk from the park brings you to a spot where you can sit and eat while the day fully wakes up. It is a convenient end point that keeps you within the immediate lake area.
Local tip
Since this is a daytime plan starting at sunrise, bring a light jacket. The morning air near the lake can be cool even in July.
