Best time: noneAbout 90 min

Timeline

  1. 13:00

    The Porch

Grab a table at The Porch for a relaxed lunch. The bistro serves locally sourced American food and is open until late afternoon. It is a good spot to settle in before the afternoon walk begins.

  2. 13:45

    Nationality Rooms Gift Center

Walk over to the Nationality Rooms Gift Center. Browse the selection of gift items imported from the countries represented in the University of Pittsburgh's Cathedral of Learning. The inventory changes often, so you might find something unique. Note that they close at 16:00 on weekdays, so keep an eye on the time.

  3. 14:15

    Tamarind

End your trip with a quick bite at Tamarind. This Indian restaurant is housed in an old Victorian house and offers a very good lunch buffet daily. It is a short walk from the previous stop and provides a flavorful finish to your afternoon.

Local tip

The Nationality Rooms Gift Center closes at 16:00 on weekdays. If you are visiting on a Friday, it stays open until 18:00. Plan your shopping accordingly.
