Timeline

  1. 14:00

    Hillman Library

Head to Hillman Library. It is the center of the University Library System and a quiet place to settle in. Arrive right when it opens for the afternoon to avoid the rush and find a good seat.

  2. 14:45

    Caliban Book Shop

Walk over to Caliban Book Shop. Spend some time browsing their collection of books, autographs, and original art. It is a short walk from the library and a perfect way to stretch your legs while looking at something unique.

  3. 15:30

    Union Grill

Stop at Union Grill for a bite. It serves classic American food like burgers and is very close to the previous stop. Note that this place can get really crowded at lunch time, so arriving a bit later helps avoid the queue.

  4. 15:50

    Cathedral of Learning

End your walk at the Cathedral of Learning. Use the golden light starting around 19:22 to admire the 42-story Gothic Revival skyscraper. The stone will look warm and striking in the late afternoon sun.
