Little Creatures

Found inside a converted boat shed and crocodile farm, is a "cellar door" bar/restaurant. The beer is fresh (straight out of the conditioning vat, as fresh as you can get!), the food is great (dinner served until 11PM, wood-fired pizzas until midnight) and nothing beats watching the sun set through the masts of Fishing Boat Harbour.

Metro City

It hosts a weekly R&B/hip hop night but this enormous venue also hosts concerts and large dance music events. When heading into Perth by train from the west, Metro's is clearly visible from the window as its unique, palace-like exterior stands out amongst the multi-level carparks and other bland buildings which can be seen along Roe St.

Mrs Brown

A local favourite, this wine bar is next to Flipside Burgers. If you ask nicely, they might deliver your order to your table even.

Prince Lane Bar

The motto of this very impressive pub/bar is "The Spirit of Rock" and, as such, the music policy leans towards contemporary rock and pop music (when the resident DJ isn't spinning, punters can select from a wide range of tunes from a state of the art video jukebox). The towering liquor cabinets are almost two stories high and as one might imagine, the draft beer, cocktail and "shooter" list is equally as monumental (Carnegie's has the longest cocktails list in Perth according to local press) and it is all complemented by a friendly and outgoing team of bar-staff. Tuesday night is quiz and $6 pints night whilst Wednesday nights feature half-price cocktails from 6PM.

The Market Bar

A nice cheery fresh place to have a pint, especially for the live acoustic music. There's almost always a busker playing good pub songs or a small band clustered around the grand piano later in the evening. Used to be located within Fremantle Markets, but was booted out in about 2015. Re-opened in 2018 in its present location opposite Luna cinemas, and has kept lots of the original fixtures such as the bar, the panoramic painting of Fremantle, and even the big green end wall with its stained glass window.

The Moon Cafe

A staple for university students, gays and coffee-house intellectuals. It has off beat interior design, an assortment of quirky lamps, retro lounges and board games. Hosts a Jazz band every Thursday. Also serves great alcoholic beverages, light meals and snacks.

A major Perth venue for local and international acts of impeccable quality. Very reasonable drink prices on non-peak nights and intimate outdoor area with city views.

Benny's Bar & Cafe

Offers a large menu of cocktails and drinks accompanied with great band music on the weekends. Whilst there is something on 7 days a week, it is the weekend where you see this restaurant cum bar packed with eager party going people. Closing at 1AM, the band plays a range of genres with the top 40 hits in between sets.

Cider

Being one of the state's prime apple growing regions, there are several cider pubs to try out in the hills. Core Cider, Naked Apple Cider House, Carmel Cider Co - the list seems to grow every year. Most places offer some lunch options, and often will have a band playing on the weekends too.

Drive Through Liquor Stores

These are usually open until quite late. It is considered polite to park your car outside and walk through if you are intending to browse and take your time. Many Australians enjoy to drink in the comfort of their own home or backyard as much as they enjoy drinking in their favourite pub.

A modern pub, with accommodation above. Until 2016 this was the Irish pub Rosie O'Gradys.

Serves unique beers, brewed on-site. If beer isn't your thing, you can quite easily get a local or international wine, cup of coffee or feed yourself at the al fresco Brewers Courtyard or on the balcony overlooking the famous Cappuccino Strip.

Boutique coffee roaster and cafe. They roast a wide range of coffees on premises, have daily coffee tastings, and sell coffee and tea making and paraphernalia and novelty items. Views overlooking the vineyards and a small lake with a large grassed area and indoor and outdoor seating.
