14:30
Grab a pint at The Lamb and Flag. The Inklings used to meet here, and it is a perfect spot to settle in before the main event. The pub is open from 12:00, so you have plenty of time.
15:53
Oxford University Museum of Natural History
Walk to the Oxford University Museum of Natural History. The museum is opposite Keble College and is free to enter. Arrive with half an hour to spare to find a good spot under the great glass roof.
16:23
Oxford University Museum of Natural History
Watch the sunset. The sun sets toward the SW at 16:23. The large central court with its elegant Victorian cast-iron columns and glass roof will catch the fading light beautifully.
17:08
Stroll north to the Oxford University Parks. It is only a six-minute walk from the museum. This large expanse of park along the Cherwell River is a peaceful place to decompress after the light has gone.
Local tip
The museum closes at 5PM, but since you are there for the 16:23 sunset, you will have plenty of time inside before it closes. Check the route if you need to return to the city centre after the parks.
