Walk to Itacolomi State Park. The park opens at 08:00, so you have plenty of time. Head up the trail toward the peak to find the perfect vantage point.

Stand at the viewpoint for the sunset. The sun sets toward the WNW, casting a warm glow on the split rocks. This is the moment Itacolomi Peak comes alive.

Descend into town and head to Restaurante do Airson. It is widely considered to have the best Marmitex in town, with great seasoning and the recommended Tropeiro dish.

End the night at Taberna Music Bar. Go down the stepladder into the medieval-style cellar. The atmosphere is cozy with ambient music that allows for conversation.
Local tip
The walk from the park to the restaurants is steep. Wear sturdy shoes and allow extra time for the descent.
