Local tip
Check the route for the walk between the mine and the restaurants. The path is steep and uneven in places.

- Mina Velha closes at 17:00. If you arrive after sunset (17:42), you will not be able to enter. Plan to arrive at the mine at least 45 minutes before sunset.
