Walk across the locks at Hartwell's Lockstation. The water is still and the stone walls catch the fading light. Use this time to breathe and watch the boats pass through.
16:30
Head south to Little Italy for a pre-dinner drink. Pub Italia is the place to go for the beer. It is an Irish/Italian pub with hundreds of bottled beers listed in its Beer Bible. The lineup is usually short at this hour.
17:00
Walk a few minutes further to Di Rienzo for dinner. This little deli is famous for the best and freshest deli sandwiches in the city. The lineup can stretch outside during the week, but it moves fast. Get a sandwich and stay inside to eat it while it is warm.
Local tip
The sunset is toward the WSW. If you want the best view of the sky color, stand near the edge of the canal at Hartwell's. For the sandwich, go early in the evening to avoid the longest queues.

- Pub Italia opens at 16:00 on Mondays and 11:00 Thursday to Saturday. It closes at 01:00.
- Di Rienzo is open until 21:00 on weekdays and 19:00 on weekends.
