Timeline
13:00
Grab a snack at The Works. It is just a three-minute walk from the park entrance. The menu is simple and the service is fast, so you can be on your way before the afternoon rush.
13:15
Walk through Central Park. The path is flat and easy. You are heading toward the eastern edge where the greenery meets the water.
13:20
Stop at Commissioners Park. It sits right next to Dows Lake. In the summer months, the flower beds are arranged in bright patterns. If you are here in May, look for the Festival of Tulips. The view of the water is calm and open.
13:45
Walk back through the park to finish your loop. The space is quiet compared to the busy streets nearby. It is a good spot to sit and watch the light change on the water before heading home.
Local tip
The Works is open until 22:00 on weekdays and Sundays, and until 23:00 on Thursdays and Saturdays. If you want to stay longer for a full meal, the hours are generous. Commissioners Park is free to enter and has no set closing time, but the flower beds are best viewed in daylight.
