Grab a warm drink at Kafé Fjord. It is just a minute’s walk from the viewing spot and opens at 11:00 in January, so it is ready for you before the sun goes down.
14:34
Walk the 13 minutes SSW to the Kon-Tiki Museum viewing spot. This is the best vantage point for 'For our sins / Freya the walrus'. The museum itself is worth a quick look at the rafts while you wait.

Watch the sunset. The sun sets toward the SW at 15:49. From this spot, you can see the golden light fade and the silhouette of the city settle into the evening.
16:19
End the evening with pizza at Pizza da Mimmo. It is a 16-minute walk from the landmark and open until 22:00 on weekdays, giving you plenty of time to eat after dark.
Local tip
It gets cold quickly in Oslo winters. Bring a coat and wear warm shoes for the walks between the café and the viewing spot.
