Grab a coffee and a slice of cake at Kaffistova. It has served traditional Norwegian fare for over a century and is a short walk from the Palace.

Walk five minutes west to the Queen Sonja Art Stable. Enter the former stables and find a spot inside or near the windows to watch the golden light begin to hit the Palace facade from the east.

Step out to the front of the Royal Palace. The sun sets toward the SW, casting a final warm glow on the building as the day ends.

End the evening at Dr. Jekylls Pub, a whisky bar with a wide selection of over 500 whiskies. It is about seven minutes away and open until 03:00.
Local tip
Kaffistova is open until 21:00 on weekdays and 19:00 on weekends. Dr. Jekylls opens at 15:00, so ensure you arrive there after your Palace visit if you want to sit in.
